Microcosm is a monophonic phase distortion synthesizer for the Chameleon. It is the graduation project of Remko Brugman and Joost Schuttelaar. Faze-1 is currently in beta stage, but the source code is provided below.

Features
- 2 phase distortion oscillators:
- 8 PD algorithms: sine, saw, saw alt, square, square alt, pulse, warp and crush
- > 20 wavetables, including formants
- PD algorithms can alternate per duty cycle
- 24db Moog-like filter (LPF, HPF, BPF)
- Ring modulator
- 3 ADSR envelopes
- 2 LFO's (square, triangle, saw)
- Extensive modulation matrix
- Distortion with ± 10 types and pre-filter
- Three tap delay

The following sound samples demonstrate some of the capabilities of Faze-1. These clips were recorded straight from the output of the Chameleon into a computer for compressing to Ogg/mp3 format.
